Netherrealm’s DC superhero fighter Injustice: Gods Amongst Us is now a cartoon animation

Fans of super-person pile-ons and animated stuff are in luck; designer Netherrealm’s well-known superhero fighting series Oppression: Gods Among United States is getting the cartoon animation treatment courtesy of DC and Warner Bros. Animation.That’s according to the Hollywood Reporter, which says the film – to be released under the DC Cartoon animation banner – will draw inspiration from Netherrealm’s computer game titles in addition to author Tom Taylor’s Injustice: Gods Amongst Us: Year One, a comic book prequel to the games.Its animated action will apparently unfold on an alternate variation of Earth where the Joker has successfully handled to fool Superman into killing Lois Lane, sending the superhero on a rampage of destruction. “This unhinged Superman chooses to take control of Earth for its own excellent,” states the Hollywood Reporter, “leading Batman and his allies to attempt to stop him.” Find out more
