Evaluation: Wonder Kid: Asha in Beast World

Wonder Boy is a little bit of a wonderful mess. The series never ever appears to adhere to one design, developer, or nomenclature. Here we have a remake of Beast World IV, which is a sequel to Wonder Boy in Monster World, or, as it’s known in Japan– and I’m not joking here– Wonder Boy V: Monster Land III.
Just recently, we’ve received a little bit of a revival recently: Wonder Young boy Returns, an upgrade of the original, developed by CFK; Wonder Kid: The Dragon’s Trap, a remake of Wonder Boy III: The Dragon’s Trap (not to be confused with Wonder Kid III: Beast Burrow) by Lizardcube; Beast Young Boy and the Cursed Kingdom, a completely new entry by Game Atelier; and this title, Wonder Kid: Asha in Monster World, which is difficult, since young boy isn’t even in it.
Baffled? Perfect. That’s how I like you.
