WWE’s The Miz Wishes to Play Johnny Cage In Mortal Kombat Movie Sequel

The new Mortal Kombat reboot is out in the wild, available to view in theaters or on HBO Max (a minimum of for the next month or two), but individuals are already talking about follows up. That might be due to the fact that the final minutes of the movie not so subtly name drop one of the series’ core characters, Johnny Cage. Now, the wrestler and actor called The Miz has a recommendation for who should play the big-headed martial artist: himself.One of the most significant questions for Mortal Kombat fans ahead of the movie’s launching was, “why isn’t Johnny Cage in the motion picture?” The director had a simple response: there’s only room enough in the movie for one arrogant jerk, and the story centers heavily around Kano. Kano is a big-headed jerk. Johnny Cage is all however guaranteed to appear in any (currently unannounced) Mortal Kombat follows up, but the film didn’t go so far as to offer him a face.Michael Mizanin, who wrestles as The Miz, put his name in the hat, saying “I AM the special effects. Let me do the casting for you” in a tweet accompanied by a photo of Cage from the games.
