The developer of mobile hit 3s has a new studio and a new project. Vodeo Games has revealed its inaugural game, Beast Breaker, is coming to PC and Nintendo Switch this summer season.
Flaunted in a brand-new trailer, Monster Breaker looks like a mix of pinball physics and the sort of brick-smashing action you ‘d expect in Breakout or Holedown. You command a small brave mouse named Skipper on their mission to destroy huge beasts, which are currently conveniently split into mosaic parts for your squeaky squire to bounce in between.
According to Vodeo’s description of the game, it will integrate those physics with tactical choice making, where you have to line up angles and strike the monster. There’s also consistent upgrades and crafting new devices, as you take a trip the land with Skip to take down more beasts.
Vodeo Games is founded by Asher Vollmer, the developer of 3s, and they explain their particular brand of games as “cozy-crunchy.” The group plans to launch one brand-new “Vodeo Game” every year, with varied settings and categories, however always cozy-crunchy. If it’s anywhere near as engaging and lengthy as Threes, it’s gon na chew the battery right out of my Nintendo Switch.
