Personality 5 Strikers Was An Extreme Partnership, Devs Break Down Creating The Action-RPG

Personality 5 Strikers has a special location amongst the musou-style action game adjustments of various franchises. Koei Tecmo and Omega Force are widely known for that high-octane one-versus-100 slash-em-up gameplay, particularly through Dynasty Warriors, and brought that energy to a selection of popular games and anime franchises such as The Legend of Zelda, Fire Emblem, and One Piece. What makes Persona 5 Strikers so various is its commitment to the source product and the RPG components– both in narrative and gameplay– that are essential to Personality’s identity. Strikers worked so well that it sticks out as its own Personality entry, and to the point where I practically forgot I was playing a musou-style action game. It’s a testimony to the collaborative efforts in between Atlus and Koei Tecmo, because, as you can probably envision, bringing the 2 design viewpoints together didn’t come easy. I had a chance to talk with manufacturer Daisuke Kanada from Atlus and director Kazutoshi Sekiguchi from Koei Tecmo to dig deeper into how the 2 teams had the ability to pull it off. Whatever from integrating Personality 5’s RPG combat mechanics to the brand-new characters and narrative themes was on the table, and they even hint that there may be more in shop in between the 2 studios. This interview was carried out via email and through a translator, and it was modified for clarity and readability. The following material does not contain spoilers.
