Group Ninja willl reveal ‘several new titles’ this year, and Nioh is apparently done

I might talk for hours about Group Ninja.
The studio that constructed its house on Dead or Alive however truly made its name with 2004’s Ninja Gaiden is one of the most fascinating action designers around. Ninja Gaiden (Black) is still an outright classic, and its tradition coasted them through some tougher times. They even managed to snag a contract to develop Metroid: Other M, and helped Omega Force with Hyrule Warriors! They have actually achieved a lot over the two decades and change they’ve been around.
Regardless of their previous achievements, I see 2017 as a turning point for Group Ninja. Nioh actually knocked it out of the park, and revealed us what this crew can really do; correctly shedding them of the baggage of Tomonobu Itagaki. According to the studio, that Nioh journey is done, but they have a lot more in shop for us quickly enough.
Speaking with Famitsu, Team Ninja manufacturer Fumihiko Yasuda mentions that the “advancement of the Nioh series will reach a resting point” after “seven long years of advancement.” As a note, they’re probably counting the time between developing Nioh to the release of the last DLC for Nioh 2, and/or the upcoming remaster package.
I’ll be unfortunate to see it go, but if they wish to hang it up, they’ve done right by the series. That stated, 4Gamer also had the opportunity to talk with Group Ninja, and there are supposedly exciting things in shop for2021 Yasuda informs the outlet that they are “preparing to announce numerous brand-new titles” from the studio this year, and to “look forward to them.”
Based on Yasuda’s previous comments, none of them will likely be Nioh associated. This unsure future is sort of thrilling! I hope the continue to build on Nioh’s success..
