If you expensive stepping outside for a little old-school ultraviolence, then maybe today’s Arcade Archives release will be right up your back-alley. Hamster’s latest coin-op classic, now offered on PS4 and Nintendo Change, is Seibu Kaihatsu’s obscure fighter Zero Group.
Launched back in 1993, amidst a multitude of scrolling beat ’em ups, Absolutely no Team has one-to-four gamers put on the personalities of a squad of superhero-type criminal offense fighters, consisting of a duo of ninja-warriors, a firearm-obsessed old kid, and a gal who showed up without any pants. While No Team includes normal face-mashing chaos, it has a remarkably deep combo system, neatly-designed stages, an unashamed love of procured weapons, setting it apart from your average Last Fight knock-offs.
